Program Overview

Money Matters For Youth Camp is a Detroit organization that holds a 5-day annual camp for

youth “investors”, and has taken place for the last 21 years.  The MM4Y Camp’s devotional mission is to

teach approximately 200 students each year, ranging in ages 8 through 18, the basics of economics and financial literacy.

Additionally, students will learn the importance of education, a healthy lifestyle, as a means to future success. We

also emphasize the importance of giving back and that “there is no such thing as a poor giver.”

The camp takes place in Detroit each year, and has also had programs in Denver, Colorado and Montego Bay, Jamaica

All activities encourage financial awareness and literacy, goal setting, collaboration, personal presentation,

developing a spirit of gratitude, and building and maintaining positive relationships - encouraging diversity and

inclusion while promoting hope for a brighter future for our youth “investors”.

The ultimate goal of Money Matters For Youth  is to provide a program that  is committed to fostering the  social,

emotional, and cognitive growth of young people while  preparing them for to have professional and personal success and to give back.
