Gail Perry Mason, lifelong Detroiter, has come a long way from foster care. Not only is she a respected authority in the financial industry, she's also a bestselling author.

She's passionate about educating people on financial literacy, from the youth at Money Matters to running workshops for employees of companies like Chrysler, IBM, MGM, McDonald's, DTE Energy, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and Wells Fargo - just to name a few!

Gail took her wealth of wisdom to the airwaves when she co-hosted Building Wealth, an award-winning radio talk show, broadcasted on MIX 92.3 and Comcast Cable. She's appeared on national outlets such as BET, Fox News, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, and NRP Radio.

To make her financial insights available to families just like hers, Gail wrote and published her first book Money Matters for Families, which Crysler employees used to get their household's financials in order and helped them build a strong financial foundation. Her second book Girl, Make Your Money Grow was a national bestseller. In addition to her own books, Gail's writing has been published locally and nationally in Ebony, Black Enterprise, On Wall Street, Quick and Simple - Good Housekeeping Magazine, Essence, Jet, The Detroit Free Press, Detroit News, Signature, HER Magazine, Washington Post, and Oprah's Debt Diet.

Gail runs Money Matters for Youth because she knows the importance of using her gifts to serve her community. She has served on the Board of Directors for nonprofits such as The Salvation Army, Hutzel Harper Hospital, Neighborhood Services Organization, and many more.

Gail has received many accolades from groups like Ford Motor Company, Michigan Women's Foundation, AKA National Sorority, Bank of America, Alternatives for Girls and Michigan's Top 10 Business Women.
